ADEYEMI “YEMI” BELLO
Founder & CEO
Adeyemi “Yemi” Bello was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. He grew up with an amazing family network, four siblings, and a powerhouse mom & dad who instilled in Yemi that hard work & a passion for learning would be critical to his success.
While Yemi calls Nigeria home, he moved to the United States at only 18 years old to pursue a higher education at Temple University. While busy settling into his new environment and taking college courses, Yemi began bartending to cover his education costs. Unknown to Yemi, not only did his career in wine & spirits begin, but so did a hobby that would become a true passion.
Yemi’s career path forever changed when he hung up the bartending towel, and took a position with a large Distributor in PA. Yemi has spent the last 10 years working on both the Distributor & Supplier side of the industry. While actively working on his career path, Yemi took time to invest in himself, receiving his EMBA from Saint Joseph’s University in 2016.
To know Yemi, is to know grit, hunger, and passion. Today, Yemi’s long list of accomplishments include dual citizenship in Nigeria & The US, diplomas from Temple University & Saint Joseph’s University, two beautiful daughters who drive him forward, and now Bello Imports where Yemi is applying his knowledge & passion for Wine and Spirits with his business acumen.
Yemi is thrilled to share his next chapter, Bello Imports, with the industry, in hopes of bringing luxury labels from amazing places like Italy & France, to the American dinner table. Yemi’s goal is to hand select partners to ensure quality of goods but also to drive relationships with vendors who promote diversity & inclusion.
